PAC displeased with SNGPL gas theft, line losses
MD SNGPL says company recovered Rs1.8 billion in fines after identifying industrial connections involved in theft.

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has expressed its displeasure over Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) gas theft and line losses, Express 24/7 reported on Thursday.
The meeting of the special committee, headed by Yasmin Rehman, was held at the SNGPL head office in Lahore.
Managing Director SNGPL, Arif Hameed briefed the committee and said that out of 12.1% of gas losses, 4% was gas theft and the remaining were gas line losses.
He said the company has been trying to prevent gas theft and line losses, for which the process of installing electronic meters and GPR system was underway.
Hameed said the company had recovered Rs1.8 billion in fines after identifying 411 industrial connections involved in gas theft.
