Stakeholders of Karachi should be taken into confidence when deciding issues critical to the people of the city, said Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Shahi Syed on Monday.
He expressed these views during his visit to the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) in Bahadurabad.
The ANP delegation led by Syed included Younis Buneri, Haji Hanif Shah, Shehr Afridi, Dost Muhammad and Aurangzeb Buneri.
During the meeting, prayers were also offered for Muhammad Aslam, a martyred activist of MQM-P. Talking to media persons on the occasion, Shahi Syed denounced battton charge on MQM-P sit-in outside the CM House on January 26.

He said MQM-P has a majority in Karachi and the party must be taken into confidence on the issues of city and their demands and protests were legitimate.
MQM convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while talking to a press briefing on the occasion said that anti-national elements have always conspired to create rifts among people of different nationalities. "We will support everyone who raises voice for the betterment of Karachi."
