Ban on all indoor activities notified

DC urges tourists to follow anti-Covid protocols

Due to the ongoing fifth wave of coronavirus and rapidly increasing positivity ratio in the area, the Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Saturday notified a ban on indoor weddings, gatherings, and dining.

Vaccinated people are still, however, allowed to engage in outdoor activities.

According to the notification issued by the DC office, all indoor activities are completely banned due to rising cases. Meanwhile, outdoor activities, of a maximum of 300 vaccinated people following all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), are still allowed.

The DC has urged tourists to follow the stringent protocols and coronavirus SOPs, that will be ensured by the Tourism Department. All public and private offices were also allowed to work under 100 per cent capacity, with full employee vaccination.

Public transport has also been allowed to operate with a maximum capacity of 70 per cent for fully vaccinated individuals. Meanwhile, the DC has imposed a ban on the provision of face-mask by the transporters to the passengers.

Similarly, shrines and cinemas have been allowed to operate with 50 per cent capacity for those fully vaccinate. A complete ban has been imposed on contact sports, including Karate, Boxing. Whereas all amusement parks and gymnasiums, will be allowed to function with 50 per cent capacity for fully vaccinated individuals.
