Written order issued on compensation to families of missing persons

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued a written order on the requests for payment of compensation to the families of citizens who have been missing since a long time.

The court said in the order that the investigation officers have submitted their reports regarding the recovery of missing persons but no progress has come to light in the reports.

In some cases, joint investigation teams were formed but no results were achieved. The court ordered the respective IOs to use their powers to trace out the missing persons.

The court also sought details of the missing persons’ income from their families.

The court has ordered to submit all the details of how much money each of the missing persons was earning. The court said in a written order that after all verifications, it would issue an order regarding payment of compensation to the families of the missing persons.
