KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court has ordered action against those charging illegal parking fee.

A two-judge bench comprising Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro and Justice Abdul Mubeen Lakho heard the petition against illegal parking fees.

The court remarked that immediate action should be taken against those who were illegally charging parking fees. The court remarked angrily that there were illegal parking fee collectors in various parts of the city. The parking fee takers are hooligans.

Justice Kalhoro remarked that if one does not have Rs20 then these people disrespect the citizens.

"When people go with their families, they bother them for 20 rupees. Police and the traffic police, both, say it's not our problem, the court remarked.

Justice Lakho inquired about the procedure for charging parking fees o which the DMC Kemari's counsel argued that there was no such procedure.
