Short circuit: Villages deprived of electricity and water

KARACHI: Over 72 villages in Gadap and Bin Qasim Towns have not had electricity and water for a week because of wire theft.  The affected villages are located in union councils Ghaghar, Ibrahim Hyderi, Rehri, Darsano Chhano, Gadap and others. Meanwhile, mobilephone, cash and motorcycle snatching incidents have increased in Memon Goth, Darsano Chhano, Kathore, Konkar, Gadap and Malir City areas. The people of these areas feel insecure and have asked the authorities to take action. They also urged the Karachi Electric Suplly Company to restore electricity to their villages.
