QUETTA:

President Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fida Hussain Dashti has asked the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to allow trade with Afghanistan through cash till the reactivating of its banking system otherwise the business community involved in trade with Afghanistan risks getting bankrupt and too many people could lose their livelihood.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the presidents of the chambers in Islamabad.

He said that economic development of any country, province and region depends on strengthening the trade relations with neighboring and world countries.

“Promoting trade has been a top priority for the business community. We want to improve trade with Iran and Afghanistan but the SBP should also facilitate trade,” he said.
