ISLAMABAD:

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the relevant officials on Wednesday to show no leniency to profiteers and hoarders and stressed the need for launching an effective public awareness campaign to dispel rumours of urea shortage.

Imran chaired a review meeting on the demand and supply situation of fertiliser in the country. The meeting was informed that the provision of about 19,000 metric tons of fertiliser per day was ensured during the last week.

He stressed the need for taking administrative measures to ensure proper supply of fertilizers to the farmers. “The PTI government has introduced farmer-friendly policies for the first time in the history of the country.”
