No more garbage lying around: LG minister

SSWMB will launch operations in other cities of Sindh as well adds the LG minister

KARACHI:

Garbage will no longer be seen anywhere, the government will generate electricity from waste and move towards biogas plants, Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said on Wednesday.

He and Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the addition of mini-tippers to collect 100 per cent garbage from houses in Keamari and West districts.

"SSWMB will launch operations in other cities of Sindh too," he added.

Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said, "soon we will start the operation of collecting garbage from house to house in the central district too."

People of Karachi have come to know who their sympathizers are as we are working on some big projects which will further improve the civic amenities.

SSWMB MD said that increase in mini tippers will improve cleanliness. The CEO of Chinese company Hangzhou apprised of the steps being taken by the company.
