Ex-CM’s younger brother injured in ambush

Shooting said to be result of old feud between two tribes

Nawabzada Baro Khan Barozai, the younger brother of the former caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai, was critically injured in an attack on his convoy on Luni Road Saturday which also left three people dead and many others injured.

He was returning from a condolence when his convey was ambushed by rival tribesmen on Luni Road in Sibi as a result Malik Azizullah Safi, Imran Khan Safi and Akhtar Marghzani were killed who were travelling in the convey with Nawabzada Baro Khan Barozai.

Nawabzada Baro Khan Barozai himself was injured and was rushed to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after his initial treatment at Civil Hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. Tensions are high in the area after the deadly ambush.

The shooting is said to be the result of an old feud between the two tribes.
