Cricketer Rizwan makes an appeal to help Afghan people

They need food, shelter, warm clothes, medicines, says Pakistan cricket team’s vice-captain

ISLAMABAD:

Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has appealed for helping the people of Afghanistan amid ongoing harsh winter, as he visits the Pakistan-Afghan border.

In a message, Rizwan emphasised that the people across the border were deprived of the basic necessities of life. “The brave people of Afghanistan are in dire need of our help. They need food, shelter, warm clothes, medicines, etc,” the Pakistan vice-captain said.

Rizwan was accompanied by former spinner Mushtaq Ahmed. He termed his visit an eye-opening experience. “It was an eye-opening experience to witness the situation at Pak-Afg border with Mushtaq Ahmed. Please contribute and help the Ummah of the beloved Prophet, PBUH,” he tweeted.
