The Sindh Inspector General of Police congratulated all the police who performed duties in the Karachi Range on the occasion of New Year. He also commended the overall performance of police force in the year of 2021.
The IGP also lauded the police performance at the arrival of international cricket teams in the city, during religious festivals, Independence Day, September 06, Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day, New Year.
The IGP paid homage to the police officers and personnel who were martyred in the year of 2021 while protecting the lives and property of people. The IGP directed all zonal DIGs and district SSPs to further activate the intelligence network, make night patrolling more effective under the supervision of divisional SP, provide self-briefing to the patrolling personnel by the senior police officer and also to ensure the use of bulletproof jackets and helmets by the police personnel on duty at the police stations.
He directed to conduct effective campaign for the arrest of wanted and fugitive suspects and to make arrests by making operational police a part of the campaign on priority basis.
The SP Investigations were directed to improve the quality of investigation to reach a logical conclusion by resolving cases of women and children in particular on the basis of modern techniques and scientific, forensic evidence.

If a road is blocked in the city for any reason, restore the flow of traffic by making immediate alternative routes, the IGP directed.
He also directed to inform the public about alternative routes through media and in such a situation, the operation police should fully co-operate with the traffic police.
District SSPs should appoint their best officer as SHO, he said adding, "Check the relevant officer's track record and performance. "Karachi police officers and youth are playing their full role in restoring peace in the city," the IGP said.
All Zonal DIGs including Additional IG Karachi, District SSPs, all SP Investigations, all Divisional SPs, all Sub Divisional Officers, SIOs and SHOs were present on the occasion.
