Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane, who first joined the platform in 2013, recently opened up about a health scare that had her undergoing extensive testing for a potential breast cancer diagnosis. In a YouTube video posted on November 4, Pokimane shared the emotional toll of her experience after feeling a "lump" in her chest, which prompted her doctor to order not one, but two biopsies. "I've never had a biopsy done. I'm having a hard time even talking about it," she said, recounting the stress and anxiety she faced (Timestamp - 5:03).

Previously, Pokimane had undergone a lumpectomy to remove a breast lump, a procedure generally used to determine if such growths are cancerous. After her MRI, which she described as “claustrophobic” and unsettling, the streamer explained that doctors inserted a metal marker near the lump, which intensified her unease. "When they first told me this, I was like, umm, no, I think, no," she stated, reflecting on the difficult experience (Timestamp - 6:15).

Pokimane expressed her relief upon receiving her second biopsy results, which confirmed the growth was benign. "I was so relieved...cried out a little bit," she noted, adding that the news arrived on her mother’s birthday, offering an unexpected gift for the family (Timestamp - 10:11). In closing, Pokimane urged her followers to take their health seriously and pursue routine checks for cancer screening, stressing that early detection can be crucial.

This personal disclosure follows her announcement earlier this year about being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), another health struggle she’s publicly shared to encourage others.
