LAHORE:

Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Hummayun Sarfaraz has said that the government is focusing on the quality of higher education after putting the sector on the right track.

Addressing the 6th international conference on Baking, Insurance & Business Management, he called upon the professors to focus on the standard of graduates, adding that their education must be reflected in their personality.

The minister said the graduates must be enabled to compete at the international level, while efforts were also being made to strengthen industry-academia linkages. He expressed hope that the conference would address the issues being faced by the business community.

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmad urged the students to work on new ideas and initiatives that could make their organisations profitable and contribute to the development of the country. He urged them to provide the best services in the banking sector.
