Federal cabinet to review progress on EVMs, i-voting today

The meeting will deliberate on an 18-point agenda

ISLAMABAD:

The federal cabinet will meet today with an 18-point agenda, whereby it will review the progress on EVMs and i-voting.

According to sources, the meeting will approve the appointment of HBFC’s BoD, accept SECP chairman and member’s resignation while appointing a new member, approve the nomination of an eminent economist to the Monetary and Fiscal Policy Coordination Board, approve the Inter-Board Coordination Commission Act, green light the appointment of a full executive member of PEMRA, form a JIT under the Anti-Terrorism Act, approve CDA’s project plan in collaboration with Gandhara Heritage Culture Centre and Citizens Club.

The cabinet will also approve the extradition of accused Pakistanis to Italy and UAE, review the banking court’s transfer to DI Khan, green light maritime affairs plant in Gwadar, appoint an executive member of NMA, approve PPMI bill, ratify changes in medical manufacturing, approve Pak-Cuba Covid-19 cooperation, and green light committee decisions of past few weeks.
