Nadia Jamil, Sania Saeed singing 'Saif ul Malook' is the Monday therapy you need

The two previously sung the kalam together for their 1996 telefilm 'Putlighar'

Nadia Jamil recently treated her fans and followers with a beautiful rendition of Mian Muhammad Bakhsh’s kalam Saif ul Malook along with her friend and fellow actor Sania Saeed. Shared via Twitter, the video shows the two sitting together in a car up in the mountains, singing with smiles on their faces, and it is enough to brighten up anyone’s day! The end of the video shows a throwback clip of the two singing the same song under a moonlit sky from the telefilm Putlighar

In the heartwarming video, the actor starts off saying, “Okay, and the curlies are here!” with reference to the hair she had lost previously while undergoing cancer treatment. Towards the end of their rendition in the car, Nadia says to Sania, “I love you,” before kissing her on the cheek.

Nadia wrote on Twitter alongside the video, “Before I left Lahore last week, Sania Saeed and I sang Mian Mohammad Bakhsh’s kalam again, under a moonlit sky.” She continued, “It reinforced for me the importance of friendship, loyalty, trust and growing together. Not giving up on each other. Learning from each other and loving each other.”

The veteran actor recently underwent successful treatment for breast cancer. In an interview with The Express Tribune, she spoke about how she feels changed by the experience. On how she felt post-treatment, Nadia shared, “I embraced the fresh air, the sky, the life and the new me. I definitely did not feel like clinging to the older me. The pre-cancer Nadia heavily relied on the validations offered by others. She was constantly restless, easily angered, easily hurt and gave too much of herself to others. That’s all past now.”

She added, “Today, I stop and listen to what the child within me needs. Nurturing, taking care of others, loving are all integral parts of my life now, but I'm more rooted and know how to nourish my own soul. I also protect myself from toxic situations. I've had enough poison injected into my veins.”
