Workshop remembers Quaid-i-Azam

The event was attended by literary and social personalities from all over Pakistan

RAWALPINDI:

The International Writers Forum (IWF) Pakistan and the Punjab Arts Council (PAC) jointly organised a training workshop to commemorate Quaid-i-Azam Day. Certificates and shields were distributed on Sunday.

After the inauguration, a concert was held, during which famous ghazal and Sufi singer Aqdas Hashmi enthralled the audience.

The event was attended by literary and social personalities from all over Pakistan, including fiction writers, columnists, novelists, scholars, journalists and researchers.

In the second part of the programme, several prominent speakers chose to interact with the audience. Naveed Malik, Tajdar Hashmi, and Naeem Nazir spoke at the event. Leading political figure Anjum Iftikhar Qureshi also spoke on the growing evils in the society and their causes.

Special guest and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) from Jhang Maulana Muawiyah Azam Tariq, Deputy Director Abdullah Nizami and other distinguished guests distributed prizes amongst the writers, scholars and teachers who had shown high performance in their respective fields.
