Prayers offered in churches for peace, prosperity

The Christian community celebrated Christmas with traditional zeal, enthusiasm and fervour amid tight security arrangements in all four tehsils of the district on Saturday.

Reportedly, special prayers were offered in all churches for global peace, national integrity, solidarity and prosperity.

The community members greeted each other and exchanged gifts during the celebrations.

Political and Christian leaders said the community was enjoying complete religious freedom in Pakistan and the government was making sincere efforts to ensure the provision and protection of basic rights of minorities.
