Man kills brother-in-law during altercation
A man was shot dead by his brother-in-law during a quarrel in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Police arrested the suspect and recovered a pistol from his possession.
According to the police, the victim Aslam,35, son of Pervez and had a quarrel with his brother-in-law, Farhan. During the exchange of hot words, Farhan got angry and opened fire which proved fatal for Aslam.
Family members informed the police that the victim wanted to contract second marriage and there was an argument going on between Aslam and Farhan when the incident took place.
Meanwhile, Noor Nawaz, 28, son of Noor Muhammad was injured in firing by unknown assailants near a mobile market within the limits of Memon Goth police station.
Separately, Arshad son of Muhammad Rafiq, 28, was injured during a robbery near near Al-Qamar Ground in Landhi No. 4.
The suspects snatched cash and mobile phone from the injured and fled away.
Alleged robber killed
The Model Colony Police killed an alleged robber during an alleged encounter at Ibrahim Masjid, Gol Ground. A policeman was also injured in the exchange of fire with the outlaws. Two accomplices of the slain robber managed to escape the scene.
According to police, a pistol, artificial jewelry and Rs300,000 in cash were recovered from the possession of the slain dacoit.
The injured policeman was identified as Farhan son of Usman.
According to details, a mobile van of Madadgar 15, during the patrol signaled three suspects riding a motorcycle. The suspects opened fire at the police, as a result of which Farhan sustained a bullet to his leg and one of the dacoits was killed in the retaliatory fire by the police while two of his accomplices managed to escape. Nothing was found from the possession of the slain robber to help identify him immediately. Police shifted the body to a morgue for identification.
