KARACHI:

A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Haleem Adil Sheikh called on deputy convener Kunwar Naveed Jamil and members of the Rabita Committee at Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) headquarters in Bahadurabad.

The delegation included Sindh Assembly members Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Bilal Ghaffar, Jamal Siddiqui and General Secretary Karachi Saeed Afridi among others.

Talking to media on the occasion, Kunwar Naveed Jamil said that the PTI delegation came to the MQM-P office and we warmly welcomed them. "We had a long discussion on the political situation in the country. We will continue to raise our voice at the legal and public level against the amendment made in the Local Government Bill by the anti-Sindh Pakistan Peoples Party, which has shown hostility and prejudice towards Sindh and will continue our joint struggle against this black law," he said.

Haleem Adil Sheikh while talking to media said, "We are grateful to MQM-Pakistan for giving us honour.

We will never allow the wish of PPP to be implemented by amending the Sindh Local Government Bill. Together with all our allies, we will fight hard against this Zardari system and will take it to a decisive stage.

"During the visit of Chief Justice of Pakistan to Karachi, we will along with our members of the National Assembly meet him and request him to hear the petition filed by the MQM-P and PTI under Article 140-A," he added.
