PML-N MNA may be elected on women’s seat
Shakila Luqman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is likely to be elected on the National Assembly’s seat reserved for women.
The reserved seat of the lower house was vacated by Shaista Pervaiz Malik upon her election from NA-133 Lahore.

Shaista, the wife of PML-N senior leader Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, was elected from the constituency in a recent by-election.
She defeated Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Chaudhry Aslam Gill to win the seat her late husband had clinched in the 2018 general election.
Under Article 51 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 60 seats are usually reserved for women in NA.
