A minor boy was abducted and tortured in retaliation over lodging the case of his father’s murder against the assailants on Sunday. Police took action upon receiving information about the incident and rescued the abducted boy after arresting the two suspected kidnappers. Reportedly, the police also seized weapons from the kidnappers and registered a case against them.
The complainant , Shehzadi Bibi, told the police that there had been an old enmity between her family and the suspected kidnappers Imran Thakur, Akbar, son of Ata Muhammad, Hassan, son of Ata Muhammad, Hamid and 11 others. She told police that her 14-year-old son Sabihul Hassan was having food on Ghousia Road when he was injured by a gunman. She told police that her son was forcibly taken to Imran Thakur's Dera in Dhadiwala, where he and his accomplices tied him with ropes and tortured him.
She told the police that the suspects had also killed her husband Imtiaz Kamuka earlier, due to which she had lodged a case against them. Police said that the victim had been abducted in retaliation over the murder case his family had lodged against the suspects. The police said the suspects had a criminal record and had been convicted in cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery, extortion and kidnapping for ransom in Faisalabad and other cities.
The police said they had arrested two suspects and seized weapons from them. Cases were registered against the suspects under Sections 342, 337H2, 148 and 149 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), while a hunt was launched for their accomplices
