Bullet-riddled body found in Taftan

A bullet-riddled body was found in Mohammad Tawa, Kalat district of Balochistan on Sunday.

According to the Balochistan Levies in Kalat local residents informed the levies officials about the presence of a dead body in a deserted area. Balochistan Levies reached the spot and shifted the body to District Headquarters Hospital Kalat. The body was identified as Abdul Wahid Mohamamdzai resident of Mohammad Tawa, Kalat district who had been killed by unidentified people and then dumped in the deserted place.

Later the body was handed over to the family. An official told The Express Tribune that they had opened investigation in the case and an FIR has been registered.

In a separate incident a woman was killed and 19 other people were injured in a road accident in Taftan, Chagai district of Balochistan.

Tehsildar Qazi Parvez of Taftan said that a passenger coach was going from Quetta to Taftan when it over turned due to speeding. As a result a woman was killed and 19 others sustained injuries.

The dead and injured were shifted to the Taftan Hospital for treatment. The deceased was identified as Musarat Bibi, resident of Chinot Punjab. He said that after first aid the injured were shifted to Dalbandin.
