KARACHI:

Due to the poor performance of the police, the vehicles running on the roads as well as the vehicles being transported by the trailer are not safe. Last month, two unregistered vehicles, including a Turkish embassy vehicle, were snatched from Noshero Feroze in Sindh by armed suspects riding a Vigo after they took hostage the trailer driver and the cleaner.

Upon getting information about the incident, Sindh IGP Mushtaq Mehar immediately formed a special team to recover the vehicles. Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) Police in an operation in Mastung area of Balochistan recovered a luxury car snatched from the Turkish Embassy, Prado V8. Surprisingly, however, the police failed to arrest the suspects and they managed to escape. Two vehicles, including a Turkish embassy vehicle, were snatched on November 20 and were being taken from Port Qasim to Islamabad and Peshawar by a trailer.

The armed criminals snatched both the vehicles near Noshero Feroze and fled. The AVLC police have not yet been able to recover the other snatched vehicle.
