Katrina, Vicky’s ‘secret’ wedding telecast sold to Amazon Prime for INR800 million
The consistent secrecy around Bollywood’s lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s romantic journey to their royal nuptial has been all a part of the bigger plan. For the couple’s fans to get full access to the inside of the destination wedding, the couple officially sold the telecast rights of their wedding to streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for a staggering amount of INR 800 million, reported Mid-day.
The streaming will cover their journey from being friends to lovers to their engagement and then finally showcase the four-day gala celebration in Rajasthan. Vicky and Katrina's wedding video will reportedly premiere on the digital platform in early 2022. To ensure nothing from the ceremonies is leaked before it gets streamed, the couple got their guests to sign an NDA and kept a no-mobile-phone policy throughout the ceremonies.
The celebrity duo welcomed their guests on December 6 to kick start their wedding at Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur with a rather special note. "We request you to please leave your mobile phones in your respective rooms and refrain from posting pictures or using social media for any of the ceremonies and events.” Taking security to next level, the bride and groom have also got secret codes in place for their 120 guests.
Despite such extreme efforts of keeping everything secret, the internet is all about their wedding with the hashtag #VicKatKiShaadi trending on the micro-blogging site.
