Cattle farmers urged to take measures to save animals from seasonal diseases

A vaccination campaign to save animals and birds to prevent them from the harmful effects of weather has started in Jalalpur Peerwala.

A spokesman for the livestock department said on Wednesday that Livestock Deputy Director Dr Jamshed Akhter launched the vaccination campaign of animals and birds in different areas of tehsil Jalalpur Peerwala.

The spokesman said that 25 teams of the livestock department have been formed to vaccinate birds and animals in the tehsil to prevent them from harmful effects of the changing weather.

He said the livestock teams would go from village to village and door to door of the villagers to vaccinate the cattle.

People should cooperate with vaccination teams as vaccination is too much necessary for the survival of their cattle.

The livestock deputy director called on cattle farmers and asked them to take precautionary measures to protect animals and birds from seasonal diseases spokesman added.

He said the teams of the livestock department would go door-to-door to vaccinate animals and birds free of charge.

The deputy director said that animals were the backbone of the country's economy and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was taking much focus on the promotion of livestock.
