Four killed in car-truck collision

Rescue 1122 says car collided with a truck approaching from the opposite direction

MUZAFFARGARH:

Four people were killed and three others suffered injuries after their car, travelling with a wedding motorcade, collided with a truck on Muzaffargarh-Jhang Road near Muradabad on Tuesday.

Rescue 1122 said a car on its way to Shah Jamal from Rangpur, collided with a truck approaching from the opposite direction.

Consequently, four people in the care died on the spot. The victims were identified as Shah Mardan, 25, Muhammad Irfan, 18, Muhammad Waseem, 18, and Tasawur Abbas, 35. The injured including Muhammad Imran, 25, Muhammad Kamran, 23, and Muhammad Tanweer, 15 were shifted to a hospital by Rescue 1122.

Rescue 1122 said the victims were relatives and were going to Shah Jamal to attend a wedding ceremony. The bridegroom was safe as he was travelling in a another car.
