SHC hears petition on non-issuance of development funds
The Sindh High Court has sought details of funds received by members of the National Assembly (MNAs) in Karachi at the request of three Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNAs regarding non-issuance of development funds to opposition lawmakers.
The SHC heard the petitions of Abdul Qadir Patel, Agha Rafiullah and Abdul Karim Bajjar regarding non-issuance of development funds.
Counsels for the petitioners argued that they were not being provided development funds by the federal government. “The federal government is providing development funds to its own MNAs and allies. We won from NA constituencies 236, 238 and 248. Details of funds received by PTI, MQM members should be sought,” the counsels contended and requested the court that the federal government may also be directed to release funds to the opposition members of the parliament.

The Sindh High Court has extended the restraining order while seeking a reply from the petitioner and the Sindh government in a petition against the construction of Dhabeji Industrial Zone (DIZ). The court sought reply from Sindh Industrial Zone Management Company (SIZMC) and the Sindh government.
