Rain relief: Mirza to reward efficient officers from ‘his own pocket’

He offered this as an incentive with looking after people displaced by the rains in Badin.

HYDERABAD:

Provincial Minister Zulfiqar Mirza has declared that he would reward officials who did their duty efficiently from his own pocket.

He offered this as an incentive while issuing instructions to the district administration tasked with looking after people displaced by the rains in Badin. At the DCO’s office on Monday, Mirza asked the EDO of Education to make sure all camps have teachers. The minister was angry with the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and asked DCO Kazim Hussain Jatoi to forward written complaints to the federal government so that the perennial unannounced load shedding ended.
