New IO summoned in Jokhio murder case
A local court has ordered the new investigation officer to appear at the next hearing in the Nazim Jokhio murder case along with the case file.
The Additional District and Sessions Court in Malir Court heard the bail plea of suspects in the case. Accused Saleem Salar and Muhammad Somar, who were granted interim bail in the case, appeared in the case.
Former investigation officer of the case, Murtaza Bajwa, also appeared in the court and said that the investigation of the case has been transferred to a new officer and the case file is with the new IO.
The court directed the new IO to appear at the next hearing and ordered the case file to be produced. The court extended the interim bail of the suspects till November 30.

Eye witness identifies killer
After an eyewitness identified the suspects in a murder case, a local court extended the physical remand of the suspects on Monday.
The court of East Judicial Magistrate Sher Muhammad Kolachi in Karachi City Court heard the murder case of a man by his son-in-law. Police produced two arrested suspects, including Haji Bakhsh and Nadeem Ali. During their identification parade, an eyewitness identified both the suspects.
Investigation officer Izzat Wagan said that suspects including the main accused Abdul Razzaq were still at large. The suspects have to be further interrogated. Therefore, their physical remand was sought.
The court extended the physical remand of the suspects for two days and sought a progress report on the case from the police at the next hearing.
The case is registered in Korangi Industrial Area police station. Four known and two unknown suspects have been nominated in the case.
