Cops booked for aiding murder suspect

Sympathising with a murder suspect has cost the police officers of district central dearly. Samanabad SHO Waqar Qaiser registered a case against the delinquent policemen.
According to details, a case has been registered against investigation officer Fida Hussain and ASI Abrar Sikandar of Operation Police for allegedly helping Mansoor Ahmed in the investigation.
Accused police officers had arrested the suspect in a case pertaining to murder and possession of illegal weapons registered in Sir Syed police station and later submitted an arrest warrant in the court for possession of illegal weapons. The court sent the suspect to jail, however, warrants for arrest for murder were not submitted by the accused in the court.
A relative of the deceased later apprised the SHO about the facts and told him that the suspect was handed over to the jail authorities in the case of possessing illegal firearms registered at Samanabad police station whereas the jail warrant of the murder case registered at Sir Syed police station was not handed over to the jail authorities following which the suspect escaped after getting bail.
The malafide intentions of Sub-Inspector Fida Hussain of Investigation Branch and ASI Abrar Sikandar of Operation Branch came to the light.
