Kahuta students grab top spots in RBISE exams
Students from Punjab College Kahuta secured four of the top 10 positions in the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) exams, and also ranked amongst the district’s highest achievers.
The college organised a ceremony to distribute awards and hand out cash prizes to the successful students. The pupils received a warm welcome by the guests, and were adorned with flower garlands and bouquets.
Punjab Group of Colleges Director Chaudhry Muhammad Akram and several other political representatives attended the event as guests.
The speakers congratulated the position holders and the college for their remarkable feat.
They also paid tribute to the hard work of the principal and teachers of the college.
PTI Tehsil President Raja Khursheed Satti said the college brought an educational revolution in the Kahuta.
He added that the college was previously planned for Kallar Syedan, but eventually opened in Kahuta because of its backwardness in education.
He said that he was proud that the students of the district showed a remarkable performance thereafter. He hoped that the college would further progress in the future.
All speakers agreed that no society could progress without education. Akram added the group of colleges was providing quality education, in addition to improving the behaviour of students - leading to a better society.
