Buzdar for implementation of job quota for minorities
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has announced filling of the vacant posts for the minorities under the five percent quota for them.
He was talking to the founder of the Pakistan Hindu Council, Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, MNA, who called on him to discuss matters pertaining to the welfare of the minority communities.
For the purpose of filling the vacant posts for the minorities, necessary data from provincial government departments have been collected, and the human rights and minorities affairs department has been directed to take early action in this regard.
The chief minister regretted that the minority communities were disheartened due to the non-implementation of this job quota in the past.
However, the PTI-led government had ensured 100% implementation of this facility, he said. Meanwhile, the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Information and Spokesperson for the Government of Punjab, Hasaan Khawar, has said that the PML-N’s slogan “respect the vote” was probably not a slogan for overseas Pakistanis.

Some political parties, out of some unknown fear, used overseas Pakistanis for their political gains and deprived them of their legitimate right to vote, he said.
He expressed these views while talking to the media on his visit to the Overseas Pakistan Commission Punjab.
Hasaan Khawar, while congratulating the Pakistanis living abroad on getting their right to vote, said that the Buzdar government was taking practical steps for their welfare. He said that Sardar Usman Buzdar had said that delay in resolution of issues of overseas Pakistanis would not be tolerated at any cost.
Hasaan Khawar said that on special instructions of Sardar Usman Bazdar, the helpline for overseas Pakistanis had been made functional round the clock, while the response time for complaints of overseas Pakistanis visiting their homeland reduced to 30 days.
