Petrol pump cashier succumbs to injuries

That was the third robbery and killing incident in Rawalpindi over the last few days

RAWALPINDI:

The wounded fuel pump cashier who was shot by the robbers during a robbery succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.

The CCTV footage of the incident has also come to the surface where the robbers could be seen shooting the victim before running away with the looted money.

That was the third robbery and killing incident in Rawalpindi over the last few days.

The victim, Muhammad Ilyas, had sustained serious bullet injuries in the head and was under treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.

The CCTV footage showed that two motorcyclists showed up at the petrol pump on Qadeer Khan Road and the pillion rider got off from the bike and shot him in the head before fleeing with the looted cash.

The Airport police have registered a case of the incident, however, no arrests could be made so far.

Earlier, a bank security guard was killed in the Dalgiran Bazaar by a robber who had decamped with Rs3.4 million. The Ganjmandi police have not been able to trace the robber as well. Earlier, robbers killed a cashier of a petrol pump in the Rata Amral area and made away with the looted money.
