Officials summoned over poisoning of dogs

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, the Wildlife Management Board and the Metropolitan Corporation, seeking a response to the killing of stray dogs in the federal capital.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah issued a written order on the petition filed by Saira Mehreen Abbasi against the poisoning of stray dogs.
The court has summoned the aforementioned on November 16, and asked the officers concerned to explain why previous court orders were violated.

The court order stated that instead of killing stray dogs, a sustainable policy be formulated.
It further stated that the Wildlife Management Board Chairman should appear and explained what policy was made to protect stray dogs from pain.
