Mother Child Hospital to be operational in Feb
The new Rawalpindi Mother and Child Hospital is in the final stages of completion. Prime Minister Imran Khan, who previously had laid the foundation stone of the facility, will inaugurate it on February 28, 2022.
The project has incurred a cost of Rs5.25 billion, and will employ 1,100 new recruits. The hospital has been constructed on 50 kanals of land and will also have 17 state-of-the-art operation theatres, along with an Outpatient Department.
The hospital will have 200 beds, with 100 beds reserved for emergencies. There will be dedicated departments of gynaecology and paediatrics, with an 80% female staff. Every kind of test, including X-rays, ultrasound and CT scan, will also be offered to patients visiting the facility.
All treatments and medicines will be completely free in the new hospital. New ambulances will also be provided for the hospital.
