God gave me new life: Humaima Malick requests for prayers after health scare in Istanbul
The actor suffered from a ruptured appendix, sharing her ordeal on Instagram

Actor Humaima Malick, who recently suffered a harrowing health scare while in Turkey for the IPPA awards, took to social media to request for prayers. The Bol actor’s appendix ruptured while she was in Istanbul, with Humaima posting pictures of herself in a hospital bed on her Instagram.
The actor loosely quoted Ghalib underneath the post, writing, “Na hota mai tou kya hota, duboya mujhko mere honey ne” along with a request for prayers.
She then went on to share details in a separate post, writing, “Please pray for everyone around you and with you. Aik chalta phirta banda marr sakta hai. Pyaar sey dekho, Khuda sey har kisi ki khair maango. Allah kisi ko hasab ki nazar na lagaye [A healthy individual can die at any time. Look at others with love and wish them the best. May God protect us all from those who are envious].”
She added further, “22 hours in Istanbul with a ruptured appendix without knowing it. Maut dekhi mainay. Mere rab ney mujhe nai zindagi di. [I saw death. God gave me new life]. Please be kind [to] everyone around you. Life is too short. Kuch nahi pata aglay lamhe hum zinda hon ya nahi [You don’t know whether you’ll be alive the next moment or not].”
She went on to thank God for her friends and family, “Thank you for all those who have stood by me and my family who prayed for me. I request all my fans to pray for me. I have been given a new life from Allah.”
The actor received well wishes from fellow actors underneath the post. Parey Hut Love actor Sheheryar Munawar commented, “Get well soon, Humaima. Sending my love and prayers,” with makeup artist Tariq Amin writing, “Praying for a speedy recovery.”
Humaima met with Turkish politician and businessman Kemal Tekden while in the country, sharing a picture with him on her Instagram. She wrote, “The man behind the world-famous Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul. Sir, thank you so much for your hospitality.”
