PESHAWAR:

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has ordered removal of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Malakand and Assistant Commissioner (AC) Dargai after widespread protests erupted against the killing of social worker and social media activist Muhammad Zada in Sakhakot, Malakand. An inquiry has been ordered against them too.

CM also took notice of the brutal murder which was committed in broad daylight and ordered IGP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) to submit a report and arrest those involved as soon as possible.

In a press statement the CM said that those involved in the murder would be brought to justice and assured his family of his full support in this regard.

It is worth mentioning here that Muhammad Zada, a local social worker who was at the forefront of highlighting the problems of drug and non-customs paid vehicles in Malakand, was gunned down on Monday in College Colony in Sakhakot. He was a popular social media activist.

The attackers managed to escape after committing the crime. Widespread protests erupted against his death as the news spread that drug mafia was behind the murder.
