The parliamentary committee will hold a meeting today (Tuesday) for the appointment of two members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
PTI’s Dr Shireen Mazari will chair the meeting at the Parliament House.
The meeting will discuss the appointment of ECP members from Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
Prior to the meeting, the members of the parliamentary committee were changed.
Senators Khalida Ateeb, Kamil Ali Agha, Tahir Bizenjo and Hidayatullah have been included in the committee.

The meeting will be attended by federal ministers Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mahmood, Asad Umar, besides Rana Sanaullah, Shiza Fatima Khawaja, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Shahida Akhtar Ali.
The ECP members from Punjab and K-P retired on July 25 after completing their terms.
For Punjab, Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Ahsan Mehboob, Advocate Raja Amir Khan and Dr Syed Pervez Abbas, while for K-P, Justice (retd) Ikramullah Khan, Faridullah and Muzammil Khan.
The opposition leader proposed six names from Punjab – Justice (retd) Tariq Iftikhar, Justice (retd) Mushtaq Ahmed, Khalid Masood Chaudhry, Irfan Qadir, Muhammad Javed Anwar and Irfan Ali, while Syed Afsar Shah, Safdar Hussain Shah and Sohail Altaf's from K-P.
