Woman commits suicide with lover

A man and a woman reportedly committed suicide by consuming poison after their families refused to allow them to marry each other.

Reportedly, Adnan and Muqaddas, residents of Chak No. 21GB in Saddar area, were in love and wished to get married, but the woman’s parents had arranged her marriage elsewhere.

On the day of marriage, the dejected couple committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills.

On receiving information about the incident, the police took the bodies into custody. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after the completion of the legal formalities.

According to the police, the marriage party was about to arrive when the incident took place.

The funerals of both the deceased were held amid a gloomy atmosphere in the village.
