Faisal Kapadia celebrates Diwali with Sonu Nigam
Pakistani singer and renowned former band Strings’ leading member Faisal Kapadia was recently spotted at a Diwali Celebration alongside Indian composer Salim Merchant, actors R Madhavan, Rohit Roy and Pakistani Ghazal singer Talat Aziz, hosted by Indian Singer Sonu Nigam at his residence in Dubai.
Kapadia took to his Instagram sharing photos from the evening celebration. The singer, who has now permanently moved to Dubai since the dissolution of the band, was spotted at the party alongside the Indian bigwigs.
Merchant took to his Instagram and shared a story of Kapadia, Singh and himself casually singing the latter’s Bhangra classic Ishq Tera Tadpave. Another picture uploaded by Kapadia shows him posing with Aziz, Nigam and Bollywood star Roy of Shootout at Lokhandwala fame. Kapadia’s band Strings also contributed to the soundtrack of his film with the song Akhiri Alvida.

Kapadia has been residing in Dubai since Strings officially disbanded in March of 2021. The band, which once contributed to Hollywood’s Spider-man 2 soundtrack in the form of Najanay Kyun, is no stranger in the Indian music scene.
In the early 2000s, Strings went on to release a number of songs for different Bollywood films and also collaborated with various Indian artists, including the like of singers like Hariharan and Sagarika and actors like Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham to name a few.
