A woman on Tuesday reportedly attempted suicide on the premises of a district court over her frustration of not having the money to fight a legal battle against her husband, who she alleged was raping their daughter.
The woman told police her husband Nadeem Shah had been allegedly sexually assaulting their daughter since a long time.
The complainant woman was reportedly separated from her husband.
Three of their children were living with their mother while two including the rape victim girl was living with their father. Later a female neighbour informed the complainant that her daughter was being subjected to sexual harassment.

Later, when the complainant approached her daughter, the victim shared her ordeal and stated her father had been raping her for a long time. Reportedly, the suspect would threaten his daughter with ‘dire consequences’ if she tells anyone about the sexual assault.
Following this, the rape victim’s mother visited Nishtar Colony police station and got registered an FIR against her husband under Section 376 PPC.
