Women make it to top administrative positions

Female officers also produce better results with no charges of corruption or malpractice against them

RAWALPINDI:

Women in Rawalpindi have outshone men by holding several important positions in various different departments - ranging from the district administration to cantonment boards, to civic institutions and the health sector.

Female officers have also produced better results on duty, with no charges of corruption or any malpractice against them. Overall, this has resulted in better performance and efficiency of all interrelated departments.

Prominent female officials occupying important administrative positions are Assistant Commissioner (AC) Headquarters Anisha Hashim; AC Kahuta Zaib Tahir; AC Cantt Nosheen Israr; Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Finance and Planning Amber Gilani; Additional Commissioner Kanza Fatima; Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director Saima Younis; AC General Maleeha Bibi; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Dr Faiza; Civil Defense Department (CDD) Assistant Director (AD) Sanjeeda Khanum; and AD Wildlife Department Rizwana Aziz.

In the health sector, Dr Shazia is working as Medical Superintendent of the Holy Family Hospital and Dr Farzana as MS at the DHQ Hospital Rawalpindi. They are performing their duty efficiently.

The railway booking staff is also operational with 75 per cent female staff.

In the district courts, nine women are serving as jurists in family courts, while Farkhanda Arshad and Shabana Risalat are performing their duty as Additional Sessions Jude and Anti-Narcotics Control Judge respectively.

The Rawalpindi police also have five women officers as Assistant Superintendent Police and Superintendent Police.
