PDM to hold protest at Empress Market

Police advise people to check traffic situation before travelling to Saddar

KARACHI:

A protest will be held on Friday, October 22, at Empress Market under the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)against rising inflation and unemployment.

PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other leaders will address the protest. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Sindh Secretary General Allama Maulana Rashid Khalid Mahmood Soomro said in a video message.

Meanwhile, traffic police arranged alternative routes for the convenience of citizens due to the protest at Empress Market on Friday.

Traffic heading towards Empress Market will be diverted to the MA Jinnah Road.

The spokesperson to traffic police asked people to check road conditions before heading towards the Saddar area.
