‘PM thinks GDP means gas, diesel, petrol’
PM sahib GDP does not mean Gas Diesel Petrol, stop increasing fuel prices, said Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah said taking a swipe against Premier Imran Khan saying he is increasing fuel prices almost every fortnight thining that it is an increase in the GDP.
The CM was speaking at the public gathering held at Bagh-e-Jinnah to pay homage to the victims of Karsaz tragedy on October 18, 2007. It was held a day earlier in respect of Eid Miladun Nabi. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders termed the sized of the crowd a public referendum against the federal government and said that the people of Sindh have decided that Prime Minister Imran Khan was "na khappay" (not required). Governments do not work by majic.
The people of Sindh do not accept the prime minister who has robbed the people of their right to rule, these views were expressed by CM Shah, PPP Sindh President Nisar Khorro , PPP Balochistan head Ali Madad Jattak and others while addressing a public meeting held by the PPP at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Sunday.
CM Shah said that Benazir Bhutto returned home on October 18, 2007 after ending her exile. "There was a slogan everywhere that Benazir would come and bring employment. At 12 o'clock that night, two explosions took place at Karsaz. The terrorists wanted to target Benazir. But Benazir Bhutto's brothers sacrificed their lives to save her.
The next day, Benazir Bhutto arrived at the hospital to inquire after the injured. She then launched a public relations campaign but the terrorists martyred her on December 27. "We carry her legacy of striving for a people-friendly democracy, working for the availability of employment opportunities, food and shelter," he said. However, the current government has pushed people into an abyss of inflation dragging more people into poverty by every passing day. "Whoever Imran Khan consults before making decisions, gives him a wrong advice," Shah said.
Imran Khan used to say that he would increase the country's production. He does not even know what the GDP means. According to the prime minister, the GDP means Gas Diesel Petrol increasing the prices of gas, diesel and petrol. After the Rs.10 increase in petrol price, the prime minister said that only Rs.10 has been increased so far." PPP Sindh president Nisar Khorro said that Benazir Bhutto was targeted on October 18.
"Benazir Bhutto returned home for the oppressed people of Pakistan. The PPP will rid the people of the present government, which has made people's lives miserable and is dropping inflation bombs on them every month. We will not enter the government through any backdoor or channel nor will we be a part of any conspiracy. The PPP was, is and will remain. We pay tribute to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy. The people of Sindh have given a referendum that Imran Khan is not required anymore."
PPP Balochistan president Ali Madad Jattak said that on behalf of PPP Balochistan, I salute the martyrs. "We will continue the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto." A caravan of thousands of people and PPP supporters led by the Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro left from the village Karan Khan Shoro at Hyderabad for Karachi to participate in the PPP’s grand public gathering in order to pay homage to the martyrs of 18th October’s Karsaz incident.
Sindh Minister for Information and PPP Karachi Division President Saeed Ghani congratulated the people of Sindh for making the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah a historic one in paying homage to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy. Saeed Ghani said that the people of Sindh, including Karachi, have proved that the PPP is the real political party of the people of this country. The only solution of the current morass of high food and fuel prices, unemployment and inflation is to get rid of the present incompetent government which has made the lives of 220 million people of this country miserable.
