The residents of the Nasla Tower, allegedly built on an encroached portion of a service lane, were issued notice by the assistant commissioner of the East district to evacuate the building in compliance with the Supreme Court orders.
The apex court had ordered the demolition of Nasla Towers in June and upheld the decision in a review petition filed in September.

The district administration has directed Ferozabad Police Station SHO to get the building vacated by use of police force if the residents do not move out within stipulated time.
The notice issued by the district East administration warned residents of Nasla Tower to vacate the building by October 27.
Commissioner Karachi has to submit a report on the implementation of the directive of the High Court. Therefore, legal action will be taken if the building is not vacated. At the last hearing on the Nusla Tower, the court rejected the review request and ordered the building to be vacated within a month.
