Govt opens recruitment in public sector

Provincial admin directed to fill vacant posts from Grades 1 to 15

LAHORE:

Ahead of the general elections in 2023, the Punjab government has decided to allow recruitments in the government department.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed provincial administration to fill all vacant positions from grade-1 to grade-15 in the government departments on priority while ensuring transparency in the recruitment process.

Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal has instructed all administrative secretaries to initiate the recruitment process and fill all vacant positions as per the government instructions.

He underlined that merit and transparency should be ensured in the recruitment process. It will help improve the government departments’ efficiency by filling the gap of human resources.

He expressed these views while addressing the secretaries conference on Saturday.

The meeting also reviewed ongoing development and social sector schemes. The chief secretary directed efficient and transparent use of development funds. All development projects should be completed on time. He told meeting participants that he would check the progress of development schemes on monthly basis and all departments should play their roles actively.
