LAHORE:

An additional district & sessions judge awarded life imprisonment to a convict over committing rape on a minor girl in Shahdara Town police precincts.

Judge Muhammad Yaseen Mohal also imposed Rs50,000 worth of fines. In case of default, the convict shall further undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months.

The judge awarded punishment to the convict after prosecution established its case and proved the convict was the actual accused who committed crime of rape on the minor girl. The evidences produced before the court also established involvement of the accused in said offence that he had committed.

Reportedly, the accused Manshad raped the minor victim on March 14, 2018. Later Shahdara police registered FIR against him under Section 376 PPC.

After that, the police submitted the challan of the case declaring guilty to said accused. Later, the charges were framed on the accused who decided to face the court trial and denied the allegations leveled against him.

Reportedly, a version of the procession case contained in the crime report was that the complainant and his wife went to participate in a marriage ceremony of their relative. The complainant’s daughter was alone in her house.
