94 new dengue cases surface

The patients being treated for the disease in the district's hospitals total 242

RAWALPINDI:

Around 94 new dengue cases were reported in Rawalpindi city on Wednesday, after which the total number of patients being treated at hospitals reached 242.

So far, 1,286 dengue cases have surfaced in Rawalpindi, of which 1,170 have recovered successfully.

To speed up the anti-dengue campaign, the tenure of 2,000 dengue workers has been extended for another three months. One reason for the intensification of the current wave in Rawalpindi is the slow response of the anti-dengue drive in neighbouring Islamabad.
