KU celebrates life of AQ Khan
University of Karachi former vice chancellor Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui said that people need to write books on the life and services of Mohsin-e-Pakistan, the late Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
He added that the generations to come need to be informed about his achievements, desire to serve the motherland, his determination to make the country a peaceful nuclear state, and improve the standards of education and living in Pakistan.
Professor Dr Pirzada Qasim observed that today, Pakistanis can look into the eyes od the whole world and no one can abuse the country because Dr AQ Khan had devoted his entire life and successfully completed the nuclear project.

The former KU VC was addressing the reference meeting held in the memory of the late nuclear scientist.
The event at which he was speaking was organised by Dr AQ Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at KU’s Jinnah Auditorium on Monday.
“The late Dr A. Q. Khan had set a goal and in achieving this goal, he had to face many problems and difficulties, but he did not back down from his objectives. We need to build self-confidence instead of relying on others, the best example of which is the life of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.”
